Mr. Forman has almost 30 years experience in healthcare compliance. He served over ten years as Vice President, Internal Audit and Compliance for New York-Presbyterian Hospital where he was responsible for Internal Audit, Corporate Compliance, and the HIPAA Privacy program for the number one rated acute care provider in New York State. He provided services to the “flag ship” hospital and 11 “sponsored” system hospitals. In addition, Mr. Forman previously served as the Director of the Division of Resource Management and Operations for the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) where his responsibilities included management controls and work planning programs. He developed annual work plans that outlined the major enforcement initiatives undertaken by the OIG in areas of fraud, waste and abuse and oversaw the OIG internal control review program. His duties extended to providing oversight for the annual grants to State Medicaid Fraud Control Units. Prior to that he was the Executive Director of the National Association of Government Accountants. He also served as the Deputy Controller for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Currently Mr. Forman is a Senior Vice President with Strategic Management Services where has been responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating compliance programs; financial/legal fact-finding; assessing organization vulnerabilities and risks; focused analyses and operational reviews; implementing effective monitoring systems; testing internal compliance controls; developing/delivering compliance education and training programs; and working with senior management/Boards in developing strategic plans.  In a number of instances he has served as the interim Compliance Officer for clients of Strategic Management.

Mr. Forman was designated by the Accuity Board of Directors in April 2016 as the organization’s Compliance Officer. He reports to the Compliance Committee of the Board and works closely with Accuity senior management in carrying out his responsibilities which include both the Accuity Compliance Program and HIPAA Privacy Program.
